職場で同僚が流してて久しぶりに聴いたらすごく胸にきたので和訳してみた。ググっても納得のいく訳も出てこなかったし。
解釈の余地がある歌詞にしているのがこの歌が支持され続けている所以なのだと思うし、そこは文学と一緒だなと。なのでこの訳はかなりざっくばらん。少しでもこの曲が好きな人の参考になればいいな。クラブ遊びをしていた友人との離れていく関係、そしてそれでも見捨てずに友人としてまたあんな風に遊ぼうぜ、と思っている主人公という解釈。そしてその友人が離れていく姿を時系列で話していく、という流れで訳してみた。
本当に遊びたい親友たちが日本にいると、すごくこう胸にくるってなもんです。オーストラリアにもそんな友人ができればいいと思うけど、2年後には日本に帰ってるからなーって思ってしまう。こちらでの生活は一期一会的なスタンスになりがち。なんてこと言いつつ今夜はパーティーでDJなのでそれはそれで全然楽しみ。
